National Film and Sound Archive Careers

Work with us to help connect Australians with our living memories, tell our stories, and shape our future.

What We Do

The National Film and Sound Archive (NFSA) chronicles Australia’s rich and diverse national story by collecting, preserving and sharing the cultural experience platforms of our time, audiovisual media. In the digital age, the NFSA is more relevant than ever.

Our collection includes more than 4 million items, such as films, television and radio programs, videos, audio recordings, video games, costumes, props, scripts, photographs, and more. In 2021, items from our collection were viewed more than 121 million times across Australia, making it one of the nation’s most vital and well-used cultural resources.
