A film from 1937 about an expedition led by Sydney businessman, H. V. Foy to Central Australia to trace the story of Harry Lasseter and his lost gold reef. Combines documentary and docu-drama, including re-enactments of Lasseter's journey, the search for Lasseter by Capt W.L. Pittendrigh and S.J. Hamre and the recollections of bushman Bob Buck, who had buried Lasseter's body in 1931. Also shows 'Old Warts' a Pitjantjatjara? man who had assisted Lasseter and several small groups of Aboriginal people in the Central Australian region. -- See full summary in Pike and Cooper, 'Australian Film: 1900 - 1977', Oxford University Press, 1981, p. 234.
