Skippy and his handler, Scotty Denholm, join Ed Deveraux and host Mike Preston on the set of the variety show In Melbourne Tonight.
Skippy 'embarrasses' herself by relieving herself in front of the live studio audience. A natural reaction when an animal is under stress.
This is a delightful clip from a variety show of the late 1960s. The set looks like a gentlemen's drawing room from another era and both Devereaux and Preston are immaculately attired, chatting comfortably in their swinging armchairs. As with any live television broadcast unscripted events can happen and it depends on the professionalism of the host to push things along.
