Ben Ely, Quan Yeomans, Lachlan (Magoo) Goold and Paul Curtis joined us to delve into the creation of Unit, its influences and styles, and the creative process that made it such a classic Australian album.

The conversation was a celebration of the band’s impact, both locally and globally, and of the album that marked their success at the peak of the alternative music genre.

To mark the 25th anniversary of Eternal Nightcap's 1997 release, The Whitlams' Tim Freedman and album producer Rob Taylor joined the NFSA for a conversation about creating this era-defining Australian album.

The event featured an acoustic performance by Freedman of a number of songs from Eternal Nightcap, an album that captured the hearts of a generation of music fans and cemented its place as one of Australia's finest independent albums.
