Video

 

A generic term used variously to describe the system for electronic representation of moving images, the electronic signal representing the images, the machinery for the recording, the replay of electronic moving images and the recording medium used.

Video may denote an electronic (as opposed to photographic) moving image displayed on a television or computer screen, or be shorthand for a related medium or format, such as video recording, videotape or videocassette.

Video Recording

This may be defined as any method employed to record television type signals. The most common methods employ frequency modulation of a carrier,. However, almost every analog and digital recording technique is used for video recording.

Gain of the video signal.
