Storage of paper materials

Black and white prints: the recommended storage conditions for processed black and white prints are for temperature between 10 and 25°C and a relative humidity of 30 per cent to 50 per cent. Daily cycling between these limits must be avoided.

Temperature and RH levels should not be allowed to move more than five per cent in any 24 hour period, but can be allowed to move within the parameters stated above over a 12 month period. Lower storage temperature will slow the degradation of black and white prints considerably.

Only acid-free materials should be used for all packing and wrapping materials.
