Bubby (Nicholas Hope) dresses up like his mother and ‘plays’ with the cat, which he has tied to the chair.

Chut explores his forest world, hopping about madly, as his mother keeps a watchful eye.

Hunters have killed Chut’s mother and scattered his mob. Desperate for food, Chut arrives at the Henton farm, where Mrs Henton (Ethel Saker) spots him at the gate.
