The Heidelberg Golf Club in Melbourne recently donated to the NFSA a film from the 1920s showing the club and its surrounds at the time of its formation.

The official opening of the Heidelberg Golf Club was declared by the then Prime Minister, the Right Honourable Mr Stanley Bruce on Saturday the 23rd of June 1

Stanley Melbourne Bruce was born into a wealthy commercial family. He was an outstanding athlete at school and later Cambridge University, where he qualified as a barrister.
